OH FURCLE!

This is a dice game played in Kasuria. The tribesfurres of Drakoria play a very similar game, called N'Jom. It's in the same family of games as real-world Farkle and Cosmic Wimpout.

What you need:

Every player needs a small token, unique to them, to mark their score on the Track. Tokens should be heavy enough to resist a breeze. The owner of the game also needs two coins or tokens to mark the Turn Score.

The Rules:

On your turn, roll five 6-sided dice. Move the Turn Score Token to record your points temporarily. Re-roll the dice that scored points. All Dice Different ("Furcled!" or "PAH!"): If none of the dice match, your turn ends, and you score no points. This is called Furcling. So, you say, "Oh Furcle!" and pass the dice to the player on your left. The fewer dice you have to roll, the bigger the chance of a Furcle! When you Furcle, your turn is over, and you pass the dice to your left. Being Satisfied: After each dice roll, if you did not Furcle, you may decide that you are Satisfied. If you aren't, roll all dice that scored in the previous roll. If you declare you are Satisfied, you add your Turn Score to your Track Score, then pass the dice to your left. Pairs: If two of the dice match, you score the number of points on that die. For example, if you rolled a pair of 3's, you get 3 points. If you roll a pair of 4's and a pair of 2's, you get 6 points. Move the Turn Score Marker to record this. Three of a Kind: If three of the dice match, you score that number plus 10. For example, if you roll three of 5's, you score 15 points. Move the Turn Score Marker to record this. Four of a Kind: If four of the dice match, you score that number plus 15. For example, if you roll four 2's, you score 17 points. Five of a Kind (a "Vinca" or "N'Jom"): If you roll the same number on all five dice, you score that number plus 20. The "Saved-by-a-Beekin" Rule Exactly once during your Turn, you can say "Beekin!" and add 1 to any dice before you count up the score for that roll. (In Drakoria, they say, "Lokira!") For example, suppose you were down to three dice and you rolled 3,5,6. This would be a Furcle. So, you call "Beekin!" and make the 5 a 6. That makes a Pair to score 6 points. Victory: The first player to achieve 50 points is the Leader. If someone passes the Leader's score, then they become the new Leader. Play continues. To win, a player must become Leader, and still be the Leader on their next turn. Strategy Tip: The odds of rolling a Furcle when you have only 2 dice is 5 out of 6. If you can call "Beekin", the odds of a Furcle are close to half. Unless you're really desperate, it's better to be Satisfied.
