About Our Dragon   The Dragon's Eye picture of a colorful dragon on a black background has been with us since the beginning. A major influence on his appearance is a real creature, a fish called a sea dragon. This rare and fragile animal is very endangered. Dead specimens are sometimes found in clumps of seaweed on the beaches of Australia and Mexico. Here I've provided a photo of a Leafy Sea Dragon,(Phycodurus eques) and two pictures of dragons, one from China and the other from Central America.

Another visual influence is the seahorse.
